Brandy has been a valuable part of Gunston and Dale City Animal Hospitals since 2010 when she started as  a Kennel Assistant.  From the start, she was meticulous in her care with our boarders and we were excited to watch her grow into her current role of Licensed Veterinary Technician.  She graduated from NOVA's LVT program in 2018 and we are proud to announce that she passed her VTNE in July of 2018.  She has a growing interest in dentistry and dental radiographs are one of her favorite things!

She was inspired to continue in the field not just because of her love of animals, but also because of the people she works with.  She feels fortunate to have been mentored by Dr. Mayo and Andrea Tiede who pushed her to pursue her talent for veterinary medicine.  Their guidance helped her realize this is where she was meant to be.  She considers the staff her second family who support each other in every endeavor.

Her family has three dogs with Finley being her own rescue pet.  She loves the beach and exploring new placed, Emerald Isle is her favorite.  Brandy loves to draw in her free time, especially wolves.  Her other cherished pastime is napping!  Because wolves are her favorite animal her dream job after she retires would be to volunteer at a wolf sanctuary or possibly help track packs.
