Dr Amy Drake is originally from Bybee, TN in the foothills of the beautiful Smokey Mountains. She obtained her undergraduate degree in veterinary science, becoming a licensed veterinary technician. She graduated from the University of TN College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009 and completed a one-year rotating internship at SouthPaws Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Center. She has since practiced in the Northern Virginia area where she holds special interests in exotic medicine, ultrasound, and soft tissue surgery.  She currently resides in Manassas with her husband Tyler and her canine child Daisy. In her spare time, she enjoys weight training, photography, reading, and writing poetry.
