Dr. Terry is thrilled to be part of such a caring and compassionate family at Dale City Animal Hospital. She was born in New Jersey and received her bachelor’s degree at Johns Hopkins University. Before starting veterinary school, she worked in Malaysia doing marine conservation research, and also worked as a teacher. 

She earned her doctorate in veterinary medicine at Colorado State University. Even though she fell in love with the Rocky Mountains, it was time to come back to her roots on the east coast. Dr. Terry is passionate about preventative medicine, managing chronic pain and orthopedic/joint disease, and taking a holistic approach to medicine. She cares deeply for her patients and clients, with enormous respect for the human animal bond – and is grateful to her Dale City team who feels the same!

In her free time, Dr. Terry loves hiking, running, painting, and snuggling with her feline fur baby, Avery.
